Hakushu – 2000 SMWS 13 Year Old 120.8 - A surge of sweet peat is a single malt whisky from Hakushu (Japan). Aged 13 years, bottled at 63.10% ABV, 70cl. Matured in second-fill hogshead.
The second malt distillery to be built in Japan by Suntory, it was opened in 1973. The original facility was replaced by a new one in 1981 and it has the ability to produce a range of different spirit styles. The Hakushu single malt brand tends to showcase its peated production however.
