Hanyu – 1986 Ichiro's Malt Card Series - King of Hearts is a single malt whisky from Hanyu (Japan). Bottled at 55.40% ABV, 70cl. Matured in pX sherry butt finish.
The King of Hearts was distilled in 1986 and initially matured in a hogshead, then finished in a Pedro Ximénez butt. It was bottled in 2009.
A Japanese malt distillery located in the town of the same name. It developed immense collectable status following its closure 2000 after the famous "Card" series was bottled by Ichiro's Malt. Believed to be lost forever, its former owners rebuilt it and distilling commenced again in 2021.
