Hanyu – ICHIRO'S MALT CARD FIVE OF DIAMONDS is a whisky from Hanyu. Bottled at 57.7% ABV, 70cl. Built in 1941 during World War II, closed in 2000 and dismantled in 2004, Hanyu’s legacy lives on thanks to Ichiro Akuto who purchased the remaining 400 casks and began releasing it in the Ichiro’s Malt card series. This marketing masterstroke featured a different playing card on the label, allowing people to easily remember their favourites and encouraging collectors to complete the full deck. There were only 17 years of whisky production at Hanyu so stocks are not only attractively collectible but also limited and scarce. Part of the legendary Malt Card series, this is the Five of Diamonds.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
