J&B – 15 Year Old Reserve is a whisky from J&B. Aged 15 years, bottled at 40% ABV, 70cl. Justerini & Brooks is a fine wine and spirits merchant founded in St. James’s in 1749, originally to provide wine and spirits to the aristocratic households of London. The firm has been a supplier to every British monarch since the coronation of King George III in 1761. In 1749, Italian Giacomo Justerini travelled to London to try to win the heart of famous opera singer, Margherita Bellino; despite failing to do this, he stayed in the capital and established a wine merchant with George Johnson. In 1831, the business was acquired by Alfred Brooks and thus the name was born. The principal expression is J&B Rare, which is a light-coloured and light-bodied whisky, ideal for mixing. Fresh, grassy and nutty on the nose, J&B offers malt, spice, fruit salad and sweet grains on the well-balanced palate. The blend contains more than 40 individual whiskies, with Speyside malts at its core, and in particular its ‘heart malt’ Knockando, along with Auchroisk. J&B Reserve is aged for a minimum of 15 years, with a malty, elegant style. Please note creasing/scuffing to bottle label.
