Karuizawa – 1984 Single Cask #2963 - Bottled 2011 is a single malt whisky from Karuizawa (Japan). Bottled at 57.2% ABV, 70cl. This distillery was born in 1955 and was one of the smallest both in size and outturn in Japan. Unfortunately, this distillery has been closed since 2011, however, their sublime whiskies keep winning award after international award. Karuizawa have released close to 300 single casks at the time of writing and as the demand increases along with their popularity, their availability decreases with collectors scrambling. Distilled in 1984, this Karuizawa single malt was matured in cask #2963 until September 2011.
