Lagavulin – 16 Year Old - White Horse Distillers is a single malt whisky from Lagavulin (Islay). Aged 16 years, bottled at 43.00% ABV, 70cl. This is the long serving core range 16-year-old from Lagavulin, first introduced in 1988 by United Distillers as part of the Classic Malts of Scotland collection. These early versions of the release continued to feature the name of former licensee White Horse Distillers on their label, as well as the company's royal warrant, until the year 2000 when the latter expired and the references were removed. An Islay malt distillery that is located between Laphroaig and Ardbeg on the south-east coast. One of two Islay distilleries in the Diageo portfolio, it is the island's representative in the Classic Malts of Scotland collection and its classic 16-year-old is one of the world's best-loved whiskies.
