Laphroaig – Càirdeas Lore Cask Strength is a single malt whisky from Laphroaig (Islay). Bottled at 59.60% ABV, 70cl.
Càirdeas, pronounced [car-chuss] means "friendship" in Gaelic. These are released annually as distillery exclusives and for the Friends of Laphroaig group. Due to the time of year in which they become available, they are also considered as spiritual Feis Ile releases.
This release is a cask strength version of the distillery's Lore expression.
A world-renowned Islay distillery, famous for its distinctive character of its heavily peated spirit and it has one of the longest-serving single malt brands. It was built in 1815 by Alexander and Donald Johnston and is today owned by Suntory Holdings through its Beam Suntory division.
