Macallan – 12 Year Old Double Cask is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 12 years, bottled at 40.00% ABV, 70cl. Matured in american & European oak sherry casks. The Double Cask from Macallan was introduced in 2016 and made a permanent as part of the newly revamped core range in 2018, alongside the Sherry Oak Cask and Triple Cask lines. This variant is matured in a mixture of sherry seasoned American oak and European oak casks. Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
