Macallan – 12 Year Old Double Cask - Year of the Ox is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 12 years, bottled at 40.00% ABV, 70cl. Matured in american & European oak sherry casks. The Double Cask from Macallan was introduced in 2017 and in 2018 made part of a newly revamped core range, alongside the Sherry Oak Cask and Triple Cask lines. This variant was matured in a mixture of sherry-seasoned American oak and European oak casks. This bottle is presented in limited edition Year of the Ox packaging. Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
