Macallan – 12 Year Old Fine Oak Triple Cask is a whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 12 years, bottled at 40% ABV, 70cl. The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow ‘cut’ of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors. A new £140 million subterranean distillery and visitor centre on the Easter Elchies estate was opened to the public in the summer of 2018 and has since won several awards for its architectural quality; with its exciting features including glass walls of vintage whiskies, a circular pod of copper pot stills, and a Boutique reflecting those in Dubai and Heathrow airports. Fine Oak 12 Year Old First introduced in 2004, the Fine Oak range was a milestone for Macallan, as it was the first expression released by the distillery that was not solely matured in Sherry casks. The range was met with an initial scepticism from Macallan fans, but over the years it has won over many doubters. Please note minor creasing to carton. Please examine the images of the bottle.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
