Macallan – 12 Year Old Litre is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 12 years, bottled at 43.00% ABV, 100cl. Matured in sherry casks. The 12-year-old has been a staple of the Macallan core range since the 1970s when it was first bottled under license by Campbell, Hope & King. The distillery assumed responsibility for its own brand in 1980 and continue to market a sherry-aged 12-year-old to this day. Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
