Macallan – 12 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 12 years, bottled at 40.00% ABV, 70cl. Matured in sherry casks.
The 12-year-old sherry-aged Macallan has been a firm favourite since its introduction in the 1970s and has been in continuous production ever since.
This release became known as the Sherry Oak Cask expression in 2018 in order to streamline the distillery output which also included the Double Cask and Triple Cask range.
Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
