Macallan – 1957 Red Ribbon is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 25 years, bottled at 43.00% ABV, 75cl. Matured in sherry casks. Released in 1982, this "Red Ribbon" Macallan was specially bottled for the 25th anniversary of the distillery's long-serving Italian importer, Fratelli Rinaldi. The business relationship continued for a further two years following this, before Giovinetti & Figli took over the Macallan contract. Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
