Macallan – 1972 Anniversary Malt 25 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 25 years, bottled at 43.00% ABV, 70cl. The distillery added this 25-year-old to their annual output in 1983, named the Anniversary Malt and accompanied at the time by the limited edition 50-year-old. The 25-year-old Anniversary Malt was produced for two decades before being replaced in 2004, and is now one of the most highly-prized expressions in the world of whisky. Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
