Macallan – 1981 Gran Reserva is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Bottled at 40.00% ABV, 70cl. Matured in sherry casks.
The Gran Reserva bottlings from Macallan were released between 1997 and 2002. Distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2000, this Macallan is widely regarded as one of the most memorable and legendary ever bottled.
Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
