Macallan – 7 Year Old Armando Giovinetti Special Selection is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 7 years, bottled at 40.00% ABV, 70cl. This 7-year-old Macallan was produced for several decades for Italian wine and spirit importers, Giovinetti & Figli. It was introduced in 1984 and lasted the duration of their contract with Macallan (ending in 2000). The company's founder Armando Giovinetti is often credited with introducing single malt whisky to the Italian public. He worked as an agent primarily for Glen Grant, but was a long-time collaborator with Macallan as well. The label features watercolour artworks produced by Sara Midda during a visit to the distillery. They are synonymous with Macallan from this period. Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
