Macallan – Easter Elchies 2010 is a whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 13 years, bottled at 52.3% ABV, 70cl. The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow ‘cut’ of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors. A new £140 million subterranean distillery and visitor centre on the Easter Elchies estate was opened to the public in the summer of 2018 and has since won several awards for its architectural quality; with its exciting features including glass walls of vintage whiskies, a circular pod of copper pot stills, and a Boutique reflecting those in Dubai and Heathrow airports. Easter Elchies: Following on from the seasonal selection, the next incarnation to carry the Easter Elchies name upped the ante with its classy, yet understated, presentation. Becoming an annual release, running from 2008 until 2013, these expressions were only available from the distillery, and have become some of the most revered and collectible releases in Macallan’s back catalogue. Please note minor wear to box and smudging to ink. Please examine the images of the bottle.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
