Born from Macallan’s shift towards single malt prominence in the 1980s, Edition No.2 represents a fascinating chapter in the distillery’s history. Crafted in collaboration with the renowned Roca Brothers of El Celler De Can Roca, this 2016 release showcases the influence of carefully selected oak. The spirit matures across a spectrum of casks – Jose Martin, Diego Martin, Vasyma American puncheons, and Tevasa – imparting a complex character. Expect a rich and layered whisky, reflecting both Macallan’s Speyside heritage and a uniquely modern approach to maturation.
