Macallan – Edition No.5 Miniature Discovery Kit is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Bottled at 48.50% ABV, 2 x 5cl. Matured in bourbon & sherry casks. Edition No.5 is a collaboration with the Pantone Colour Institute, who have designed the striking purple box to compliment the hue of this marriage of exclusively American oak casks: First fill bourbon barrels Second fill hogsheads and butts First fill Tevasa hogsheads First fill Vasyma butts First fill hudosa hogsheads and butts With the release of each Macallan Edition, the distillery produced a small number of these Discovery Kits for promotional purposes. This Discovery Kit includes two 5cl samples, a branded Glencairn nosing glass and a small booklet detailing Pantone's process of selecting the perfect packaging colour to compliment the whisky.
