Macallan – Edition No.6 is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Bottled at 48.60% ABV, 70cl. Matured in sherry casks. Edition No.6 takes inspiration from the landscape around the Macallan distillery, including the legendary River Spey which is home to endangered wild Atlantic salmon. Macallan were working with the Atlantic Salmon Trust to raise awareness of this plight, and also the vital conservation work on the River Spey and beyond. The liquid has been matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned casks - a select combination of first and second fill American and European oak. Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
