Macallan – Edition No.6 is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Bottled at 48.6% ABV, 70cl. The Macallan distillery, founded in 1824 and situated on the Easter Elchies estate in Speyside, is one of Scotland's most celebrated single malt producers. Edition No.6 is the sixth and final release in The Macallan's annual Edition series, created in collaboration with Hardy — the renowned French fishing tackle and outdoor brand — as a homage to the natural landscape of the Macallan estate and the River Spey that flows through it. The release also supports the conservation work of the Atlantic Salmon Trust. Bottled at 48.6% ABV without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, Edition No.6 is vatted from a combination of first-fill and second-fill American and European oak butts and hogsheads, hand-selected by The Macallan's Whisky Maker. The cask composition, as stated on the packaging, comprises 18% American oak first-fill (Hogsheads) and 82% a mix of European and American oak second-fill casks.
