Macallan – Gold Double Cask Limited Edition is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Bottled at 40.00% ABV, 70cl. Matured in american & European oak sherry casks.
A former entry level bottling of Macallan, the Gold was introduced as part of the 1824 range in 2012. When that series was discontinued in 2018, the Gold expression transitioned over to the newly created Double Cask range.
Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.
