Mortlach – 10 Year Old 1996 - SMWS 76.54 - Dessert In A Glass is a single malt whisky from Mortlach (Speyside). Aged 10 years, bottled at 60.2% ABV, 70cl. Founded in Edinburgh in 1983 by Phillip 'Pip' Hills comes The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. His passion for whisky started when he travelled around the country in the 70s. It took him little time to purchase his first cask with a group of friends. Many years later the syndicate was purchased by Glenmorangie PLC. This is Society Single Cask 76.54 from the Mortlach Distillery in Speyside. Distilled in 1996 and aged for 10 years before being bottled in July 2007. This is one of only 229 bottles produced at a strength of 60.2% ABV.
