Rosebank – 21 Year Old ‘Fascination’ 5th Edition Speciality Drinks is a whisky from Rosebank (Lowland). Aged 21 years, bottled at 49.5% ABV, 70cl. Built to straddle the banks of the Forth-Clyde canal in 1840, Rosebank distillery’s Lowland location between Glasgow and Edinburgh produced a still highly revered single malt, comprising of a smooth, meadow flower bouquet with fresh citrus notes. In 1914, as a limited company, Rosebank became one of the founding members of the Scottish Malt Distillers Ltd. It manufactured consistently all the way into the early 90’s, pausing only under the duress of World War. Unfortunately, the distillery floundered when vehicles became popular for making more efficient deliveries, access to the canal side was tricky, and previously the processes had been carried over the rickety bridge between one part of the distillery and the other, which just wasn’t sustainable. After assessment inspection in 1993, the mandatory proposal of a £2bn upgrade actually sunk the distillery in the end, but not without uproar from whisky aficionados across the land, who deemed their produce as ‘the most distinguished Lowland malt’. In October 2017, Ian Macleod Distillers announced that they had acquired the Rosebank Whisky trademark from Diageo and the site from Scottish Canals in order to re-establish Rosebank Whisky by building a new distillery and re-commencing production in the old style. Production was restarted in July 2023. Please note some wax seals are prone to cracking in varying temperatures and transport conditions, therefore - as stated in our terms and conditions - we do not accept liability should these seals be found to show signs of splitting on delivery.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
