St. Magdalene-Linlithgow 1973 Natural Cask Strength 30 Year Old is a single malt whisky from St. Magdalene (Lowland). Aged 30 years, bottled at 59.6% ABV, 70cl.
One of the few official bottlings from the lost St. Magdalene distillery. Distilled in 1973 and matured for 30 years, Diageo chose to release this as part of their annual Special Releases in 2004.
A former malt distillery that was based in the town of Linlithgow. None of its single malt was ever officially bottled during its years in operation and it was primarily taked with providing fillings for Distillers Company blends. It was closed down in 1983 and since redeveloped into housing.
