Description
Forged by the Stormy Isle of Skye
Bring the rugged beauty and maritime heritage of Scotland’s dramatic west coast straight to your walls. This premium piece of wall decor is crafted from a genuine oak stave that spent decades maturing iconic single malt at the Talisker Distillery—the oldest operational distillery on the windswept Isle of Skye. Salvaged directly from Cask Number 1707, filled in 1994, this historic timber has been beautifully upcycled and restored in our independent workshop near the Highlands and Lowlands border, transforming a slice of liquid history into timeless art.
Custom-Engraved Details & Authentic Patina
This is a genuine, three-dimensional artifact shaped by time and craftsmanship. To honor its coastal provenance, the distillery name, vintage year, and exact cask details (TALISKER 1994 / Cask 1707) are permanently engraved directly into the face of the solid oak. Each stave is meticulously hand-sanded to preserve the unique natural variations in the tight wood grain, the deep internal char marks, and the rich honey tones absorbed over decades of traditional warehouse aging.
Create an Instant Coastal Atmosphere
Measuring approximately 80 cm long, the elegant, natural sweep of the original barrel stave offers a commanding, architectural presence on any wall. Its versatile blend of rustic warmth and modern industrial style allows it to fit effortlessly into both classic and contemporary interiors. It makes a stunning addition to:
Home bars, private lounges, or tasting spaces
Cozy farmhouse kitchens, modern cabins, or dining rooms
As a focal conversation starter in an office, study, or man cave
Because each stave is completely unique, this plaque serves as a magnificent, high-end gift for milestone birthdays, housewarmings, weddings, or anniversaries—ideal for any collector who loves the bold, smoky, and peppery drams born on the shores of Skye.
