Tamdhu – Single Malt (70cl, 40%)

Tamdhu – Single Malt is a whisky from Tamdhu (Speyside). Bottled at 40% ABV, 70cl. 1886 was the year in which Tamdhu came into this world when it was built by a consortium of blenders, and it is for blends that Tamdhu has dutifully made spirit for most of its life. Now owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, there has been a re-focus on this underappreciated single malt that has played an important part for so long in such blends as Cutty Sark and Famous Grouse. In 2017, Tamdhu celebrated their 120th anniversary by releasing a 50 Year Old, their oldest ever bottling. A NAS Tamdhu from before Ian McLeod Distillers took over the distillery. We believe this was bottled sometime around the early 2000’s. Please note minor wear on carton.
