Thompson Bros – Mystery Malt Series No.01 is a single malt whisky from Thompson Bros (Scotland). Bottled at 48.50% ABV, 70cl. This unprecedented mystery release is a single malt from one of 16 different distilleries, revealed only by opening the foil capsule and reading the label on the stopper beneath. The whiskies range from a variety of regions, are matured in a variety of different casks, and are of an array of different ages, from 4 years old to 29 years old. The brand name used by the Dornoch Distillery Company to bottle its own single malt whiskies, as well as a range of independent bottlings of whisky and brandy from other distillers. It was launched in 2016, with the first Dornoch single malts released in 2021.
