Tormore – 1966 Matured in Sherry Wood is a single malt whisky from Tormore (Speyside). Bottled at 57.00% ABV, 75cl. Matured in sherry casks. An incredible example of Speyside single malt from a rarely-bottled distillery at the time. This is a 1966 vintage Tormore, bottled for Silvano Samaroli by long time partners, R.W. Duthie of Aberdeen in 1982. A picturesque malt distillery in Speyside, originally built by American distillers, Schenley, in 1958. The distillery has long associations with blending industry, particularly the Long John brand, however it is today owned by Elixir Distillers which has placed a renew focus on its single malt. Condition: Capsule/seal wrapper is peeling and partially detached.
