Whyte & Mackay – 50 Year Old 175th Anniversary 50cl is a whisky from Whyte & Mackay. Aged 50 years, bottled at 44.6% ABV, 50cl.
Founded in 1882 by Charles Mackay and James Whyte, the company’s first blended whisky was Whyte & Mackay Special and proved hugely popular in the UK and other English-speaking countries worldwide. Over the years, Whyte & Mackay have either taken over or merged with the owners of several distilleries including Dalmore, Fettercairn and Tomintoul, and later, their own grain distillery; Invergordon.
It is claimed that the secret to the award-winning taste is the triple maturation process and the way it blends, making sure no single whisky dominates another.
Please note some wax seals are prone to cracking in varying temperatures and transport conditions, therefore - as stated in our terms and conditions - we do not accept liability should these seals be found to show signs of splitting on delivery.
