Yamazaki – 18 Year Old - Mizunara Cask - 100th Anniversary of Suntory Whisky is a single malt whisky from Yamazaki (Japan). Aged 18 years, bottled at 48% ABV, 70cl. Yamazaki 18 Year Old is an award-winning Japanese single malt from Suntory Distillery. This bottling is made from specially selected malt whiskies that have been solely aged in Mizunara casks. It has been released so that the youngest spirit within is no younger than 18 years old. It marks the milestone of Suntory's 100th year in whisky! Mizunara is much more rare than the likes of European and American oak, and a hell of a great deal expensive. The story of the oak is deeply tied to Japanese history also. There are plenty of benefits in working with Mizunara oak, in that its properties are fed into the whisky what with its porous nature. The name literally means water oak. PLEASE NOTE: The inner bottle housing on the Suntory 18-Year-Old box is prone to crushing/creasing in transit due to its design. Therefore, as stated in our T&Cs, we do not and will not accept liability should the box be broken, crushed or creased in transit. Insurance is for complete breakage or loss in transit only.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
