Yamazaki – Suntory Pure Malt is a single malt whisky from Yamazaki (Japan). Bottled at 43.00% ABV, 76cl. First introduced in 1984, the Yamazaki 12-year-old was Japan's first seriously marketed single malt. With the introduction of the Distiller's Reserve in 2012, the 12-year-old expression was elevated in the core range and is becoming increasingly difficult to find. This Suntory Pure Malt was the first version of this single malt release from Yamazaki, introduced in 1984. It was relaunched in 1986 to state its 12-year-old age statement. The oldest single malt whisky distillery in Japan, founded in 1923 by Shinjirō Torii. It is still owned by his company today, now known as Suntory, and its single malt which was bottled for the firs time in 1984 is hugely sought-after. It also provides fillings for blends such as Hibiki. Condition: Box: surface wear and fading to exterior.
