Arran 1997 Icons of Arran - Rowan Tree is a single malt whisky from Lochranza (Island). Aged 12 years, bottled at 46% ABV, 70cl. Matured in sherry butts.
The follow-up to the "Peacock" label, this was the second in the Icons of Arran series and the whisky is a combination of 10 sherry butts.
One of two malt whisky distilleries owned by Isle of Arran Distillers, Lochranza was the first to be opened in 1995. The distillery's flagship single malt brand is the Arran label and although it now only distils a non-peated whisky, it has historically produced peated single malt as well.
