Arran Devil’s Punch Bowl Chapter I - III 3 x 70cl is a whisky from Arran (Islands). Bottled at 53.4% ABV, 70cl. Although a relative youngster - the distillery started production on the 17th of August 1995 - this distillery has quickly won an army of fans that have been drawn to the quality of the whisky produced in the shadow of the nesting site of a pair of golden eagles. The Devil’s Punch Bowl is the company’s first whisky to combine peated and un-peated casks. Chapter 1 Limited to 6,660 (The Mark of the Beast, ooh err) bottles globally, the whisky is named after the glacial hollow Coire na Ciche on Arran. It has been drawn from 24 different Arran casks, including Sherry butts. Chapter 2 The 2nd edition of the acclaimed Devil’s Punch Bowl from Arran, subtitled Angels & Devils. Each of the 27 casks used was chosen by master distiller James MacTaggart - the composition is 17 sherry casks, 6 unpeated bourbon casks and 4 peated bourbon casks ranging from 1997 to 2004. Chapter 3 James MacTaggart, Master Distiller at Arran has crafted this final part of the Devil’s Punch Bowl Trilogy to, “bring the curtain down in dramatic style.” A careful blending of 21 casks, 8 Oloroso, 8 French Oak Barriques and 5 Bourbon Barrels this is James’ favourite of the Trilogy. Interestingly Chapter III features no peated whisky but does introduce French Oak into the mix. Please note that this set contains multiple items. Additional delivery charges may be payable.
