Arran The Exciseman Smugglers' Series - Volume Three is a single malt whisky from Lochranza (Island). Bottled at 56.80% ABV, 70cl. Matured in bourbon quarter casks & Madeira casks. This is the 2017 and third release in the highly acclaimed Arran Smugglers' Series, which followed The Illicit Stills and High Seas. The whisky was matured in Madeira casks and smaller bourbon quarter casks. One of two malt whisky distilleries owned by Isle of Arran Distillers, Lochranza was the first to be opened in 1995. The distillery's flagship single malt brand is the Arran label and although it now only distils a non-peated whisky, it has historically produced peated single malt as well.
