Finished in small Batch Bourbon Casks, Matusalem Oloroso Sherry Casks, Madeira Casks, Marsala Casks, Port Pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Barriques. The Dalmore distillery is situated on the shores of the Cromarty Firth in Alness, Ross-shire, in the Northern Highlands of Scotland. Long associated with multi-cask maturation, it is noted for its use of a wide variety of exceptional cask types under the stewardship of its master distiller. King Alexander III is a signature expression from Dalmore, bottled at 40% ABV without an age statement. It is a vatting drawn from six distinct cask finishes — small batch bourbon casks, Matusalem oloroso sherry casks, Madeira casks, Marsala casks, port pipes, and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques — all married together at the distillery in Alness. The bottle is presented in the distinctive Dalmore flat-sided decanter with its hallmark stag's head adornment, housed in a premium dark presentation box.
