Deanston – 18 Year Old 2000 - Chieftain's Red Wine Finish #92701 is a single malt whisky from Deanston (Highland). Aged 18 years, bottled at 50% ABV, 70cl. Finished in red Wine Finish. Deanston distillery is situated in the Highland region of Scotland, housed in a former cotton mill on the banks of the River Teith. It has operated as a distillery since the 1960s and is known for producing unpeated single malts using water drawn directly from the Teith. This single cask bottling was distilled at Deanston in June 2000 and matured for 18 years before being bottled in May 2019 by Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd under their Chieftain's Limited Edition Collection label. The whisky was finished in a red wine cask (cask number 52701) and bottled at natural colour, unchillfiltered, at 50% ABV. A total of 208 bottles were drawn from this cask. This is a Private Single Cask Bottling.
