Glen Scotia – 46 Year Old (70cl, 41.7%)

Glen Scotia – 46 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Glen Scotia (Campbeltown). Aged 46 years, bottled at 41.7% ABV, 70cl. Matured in oloroso sherry cask finish. At the time of release in 2021, this was oldest Glen Scotia bottling to date. Initially aged in refill bourbon casks for 36 years, it was re-racked into first-fill bourbon barrels in 2011. It was then finished in oloroso sherry butts before being bottled after a total of 46 years. The bottle was made by Glencairn glassmakers with an etched bottle, originally presented in a handmade oak case. The second-oldest operating distillery in Campbeltown and one of the smallest in Scotland. Despite a turbulent 20th century, the distillery and its brand has enjoyed success in recent years under the ownership of Loch Lomond Group.
