Glendronach – 12 Year Old Matured in Sherry Casks is a single malt whisky from Glendronach (Highland). Aged 12 years, bottled at 40.00% ABV, 75cl. Matured in sherry casks. This is an older bottling of the popular Matured in Sherry Casks 12-year-old expression. These were available alongside the Original 12-year-old for several years (matured in sherry oak and plain oak), before both were replaced by the bourbon- and sherry-matured Glendronach Traditional in 1991, launched as part of the short-lived Caledonian Malts range from Allied Distillers. The 100% sherry casks release was then upped to a 15-year-old, which became some of the distillery's most revered output. A malt distillery located in Forgue by Huntly in the eastern Highland region. As of 2016 it is American-owned by the Brown-Foreman Corporation through its Benriach Distillery Company subsidiary. Famed for its preference for sherry cask-ageing, it has long been an established single malt brand. Condition: Capsule shows wear and surface deterioration. Label edges show age-related yellowing and slight lifting.
