Glendronach – 12 Year Old - Wm. Teacher & Sons is a single malt whisky from Glendronach (Highland). Aged 12 years, bottled at 40.00% ABV, 75cl. This is the first iteration of the now long-serving Glendronach 12-year-old age statement. It was added alongside the 8-year-old to the distillery's core range in 1974, originally including vintages on its label until 1976. The core range was revamped under Allied Lyons ownership in 1986, and this expression was replaced by a pair of 12-year-olds, one fully aged in sherry casks and one a mixture of sherry and plain oak. A malt distillery located in Forgue by Huntly in the eastern Highland region. As of 2016 it is American-owned by the Brown-Foreman Corporation through its Benriach Distillery Company subsidiary. Famed for its preference for sherry cask-ageing, it has long been an established single malt brand.
