Glendronach – 1968 Recherché 44 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Glendronach (Highland). Aged 44 years, bottled at 48.60% ABV, 70cl. Matured in olorosos sherry butt.
Released in 2013, the Recherché was distilled in September 1968 and matured in single Oloroso butt #5 for 44 years. It was bottled from what was at the time the oldest stock contained within the distillery warehouses.
A malt distillery located in Forgue by Huntly in the eastern Highland region. As of 2016 it is American-owned by the Brown-Foreman Corporation through its Benriach Distillery Company subsidiary. Famed for its preference for sherry cask-ageing, it has long been an established single malt brand.
