Glenmorangie – Astar (70cl, 57.10%)

Glenmorangie – Astar is a single malt whisky from Glenmorangie (Highland). Bottled at 57.10% ABV, 70cl. Matured in missouri Ozark oak casks. This is the original release of the Astar from 2008. It was a follow-up to the Glenmorangie Artisan Cask after the new distillery branding and bottle design were introduced the previous year. Astar means "journey" in Gaelic. It refers to the journey of perfection that Glenmorangie is working to discover in their search for the ideal casks to mature whisky. A Highland malt distillery located near Tain along the Dornoch Firth. It was founded in 1843 and is today owned along with Ardbeg by the French multination, LVMH. The distillery's primary focus is its single malt brand, renowned for being produced using Scotland's tallest pot stills.
