Founded in 1826 Highland Park is believed to of been distilling illegally much beforehand as the founder Magnus Euson was caught distilling in 1798 on the same site that later became Highland Park. The Highland Park distillery has been named on a number of occasions as having the best spirit in the world, On one of those occasions, the Highland Park 25 year old is the first ever to have received a 100 point score at the Ultimate Spirit Challenge. This 15 year old Highland Park should emit gentle smoke, red berries and apples upon pouring a dram, the palate is honey, summer fruit, and chilli peppers, with a medium long finish of caramel and chilli.
