Highland Park – Twisted Tattoo 16 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Highland Park (Island). Aged 16 years, bottled at 46.7% ABV, 70cl. Matured in bourbon & Rioja wine casks. A limited edition 16-year-old from Highland Park, bottled from 153 casks laid down between 11th May 2000 and 29th October 2001 which were then re-barrelled into 220-litre first-fill Rioja wine casks in January and March 2016. The casks were married together in September 2018 and filtered at 4°C. The Twisted Tattoo packaging was designed by Colin Dale, a Canadian artist who lives and works in Copenhagen. The largest and oldest malt whisky distillery in the Orkney archipelago, located in Kirkwall on the main island. Founded in 1798, it is today part of the holdings of the Edrington Group and its whisky is world-renowned for the unique flavour provided to it by local Orcadian peat.
