Lindores Abbey – Friar John Cor - Cask Strength Congregation Batch - Chapter II is a single malt whisky from Lindores Abbey (Lowland). Bottled at 60.9% ABV, 70cl. This cask-strength single malt from Lindores Abbey was matured in a congregation of casks. A combination of bourbon, STR, and Peated Rum casks. The black bottle is inspired by the tunics that would have been worn by the monks that roamed the grounds of Lindores Abbey back in 1494, including Friar John Cor, the monk commissioned to produce aqua vitae from malt in the first written reference to Scotch whisky. Bottled at 60.9% ABV, without added colour or chill filtration.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
