Longrow 2000 Gaja Barolo 7 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Springbank (Campbeltown). Aged 7 years, bottled at 55.8% ABV, 70cl. Matured in gaja Barolo wine casks finish.
This Longrow was distilled in October 2000 and bottled in January 2008. Part of the Wood Expressions series, it was matured for 5.5 years in bourbon casks prior to being finished for 1.5 years in Barolo casks from the winery, Angelo Gaja.
A revered single malt distillery in Campbeltown that has operated since 1828. It is today owned by J&A Mitchell & Co who produce three single malt styles there. These are its flagship two-and-half times distilled Springbank, a heavily-peated malt known as Longrow, and the triple-distilled Hazelburn.
