Maker's Mark – Cellar Aged Kentucky Straight Bourbon 2023 Release is a bourbon whiskey from Maker's Mark (Kentucky, USA). Bottled at 57.85% ABV, 70cl. This is the 2023 Cellar Aged expression. In an unusual experiment, the whisky has spent the final 5 years of its maturation in the distillery's own limestone cellar, which maintains an average temperature of 8.3°C (A stark contrast to the typical heat of a Kentucky warehouse). The release is a vatting of just five barrels filled between 2010-2012; one matured for 11 years (13%), and four matured for 12 years (87%). It was bottled in June 2023. A well-renowned bourbon distillery and brand, created by Taylor William "Bill" Samuels Snr. Part of the American whiskey holdings of Suntory Global Spirits, the distillery is located in Loretto, Kentucky and the famously dripping wax-dipped bottles have been sold since 1958.
