North British – 1996 26 Year Old Electric Coo Series is a whisky from North British (Lowlands). Aged 26 years, bottled at 50% ABV, 70cl. The North British Distillery company was originally founded in 1885 by a conglomerate of blenders who were tired of DCLs monopoly on grain whisky. The distillery was built in the Gorgie district of Edinburgh, and grew rapidly over the years, with their continuous stills currently able to churn out between 35000 - 40000 litres of spirit every hour. Ironically the company is now partly owned by Diageo, the very company it was set up to oppose. Bottled as part of the Electric Coo series Please note minor wear to label
