Penderyn – Icons of Wales #4 That Try - Peated Finish (SIGNED) is a single malt whisky from Penderyn (Wales). Bottled at 41% ABV, 70cl. Finished in peated Islay Quarter Casks.
Released in time for the Rugby World Cup 2015, it is a tribute to the greatest try ever scored in Welsh rugby history (aka 'That Try'), scored by Gareth Edwards for the Barbarians against New Zealand on 27 January 1973 at Cardiff Arms Park.
This peated whisky stems from the maturation of the light and fruity Penderyn spirit in the finest Kentucky ex-bourbon barrels first and then richly peated Islay quarter casks. Limited edition No.4 of 50 and bottled at 41% ABV.
