Raasay – Inaugural Release (70cl, 52%)

Raasay – Inaugural Release is a whisky from Raasay (Islands). Bottled at 52% ABV, 70cl. R&B Distillers received planning permission for the first legal distillery on the Isle of Raasay in early 2016 and they also plan a second site in the village of Peebles in the Scottish Borders: this was where co-founder Alasdair Day’s ancestors blended whisky in a grocer’s shop. In anticipation of the distillery’s first whisky release in 2020, R&B produced a peated Highland single malt in 2015 called Raasay While We Wait in suggestion of the type of whisky they aim to produce; a fruity and lightly peated malt. This is their Inaugural Release.
